Samsung Galaxy S24 phones might come with an added shortcut for Instagram Camera on the lock screen. The feature was revealed by Alessandro Paluzzi, a user on the social media X, where they revealed a screenshot.
Currently, only system apps (with minor exceptions) are allowed on the lock screen – music, weather, alarms, routines. The social media widget might be part of One UI 6.1, once it arrives alongside the Galaxy S24 series.
A pop-up is expected to appear once you open Instagram for the first time. You’ll then need to give access to the Instagram camera, and there is a middle button with “More options…”.
